WHAT IS A PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT?
Physician assistants (PAs) are licensed medical professionals who work with a collaborative physician. They can order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans. PAs are an important part of the team-based approach to healthcare, helping to increase access to quality care. They are patient advocates and educators who help people use the health care system more effectively. Every ten years, a PA is required to re-certify their license to be board-certified.

HOW QUICKLY CAN I SEE THE PROVIDER?
When needed, you can be seen same or next-day for an appointment. Once a patient is seen in the clinic and primary care is established, many medical issues may be handled over the phone, if so desired by the patient.
DPC provider panels are intentionally kept smaller in order that those within the panel can be taken care of promptly in the manner that they desire.
-
SHOULD I JOIN A DPC EVEN IF I AM HEALTHY?
Yes! Even though you are healthy, your DPC provider will always be there for you if you do get sick or hurt. They also work proactively to help keep you happy, healthy and free of preventable diseases.
-
WHAT EXACTLY IS INCLUDED IN A MEMBERSHIP?
Everything listed on our services page except blood work outside of annual physical, imaging, and certain medications/DME, when needed. We have partnerships with companies to get you the lowest prices on these services as needed. We have these prices available for you at your visit.
-
CAN I USE MY INSURANCE TO PAY FOR DPC?
No. Your insurance will not cover DPC services.
-
DOES DPC REPLACE MY INSURANCE?
DPC does not replace insurance but does complement it. We recommend our patients to carry some form of insurance or become a member of a healthshare in the case of an emergency (hospital care) / catastrophic injury or illness.
These are some great options: Sedera and Zion HealthShare

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF DPC?
Your DPC provider is there when you need them. You get thorough, unlimited office visits included in your membership. Plus, you’ll be able to book a same-day or next-day appointment, since your provider has a small patient panel. You’ll have access to your providers cell phone number, so you’ll be able to call or text them any medical questions, without having to wait for a call back or an office visit. Some simple diagnostics (e.g. strep tests) and blood tests may be performed in office for a small additional charge (or no charge at all). If you have a major issue, your provider will help coordinate any specialist or hospital visit.
-
DO YOU SEE WALK-INS?
We do NOT see walk-in’s. This allows us to be fully available for all of our members during each business day. However, please call us and we might be able to see you asap, depending on the schedule.
-
CAN I BE SEEN IF I AM NOT A MEMBER?
If we have availability the day/time you want to be seen, we will be able to see you. You will be required to have a follow up appointment, either in-person or virtually. We will not be able to prescribe controlled substances for you if you are not a member.
-
IS THE PROVIDER AVAILABLE 24/7?
After hour calls, texts, and emails will be answered as quickly as possible. Most inquiries will be managed first thing the following morning however, in the event of an urgent need, members can notify the provider of their concern via phone on the urgent line or by selecting urgent need via text. The provider may not respond immediately to after hour inquiries. Typically, same or next day visits will be available. The provider will respect the importance of your time and asks the same in return. When the provider is out of town, another provider will be available for any urgent office visit needs. All situations that can be handled electronically will still be handled by your primary provider.
-
HOW MUCH DOES DPC COST?
The price for a DPC membership is about the price of a cup a coffee a day. That’s a small price to pay for a level of care you literally can’t get anywhere else. Not to mention: the membership fee can often pay for itself. Most DPC practices have an established relationship with local laboratories and radiology centers. That means you can get blood tests, pathology screens, X-rays, MRIs, and more for low cash prices. Plus, as a DPC member, you should be able to save a lot of money on insurance by switching to a high-deductible plan or electing to be apart of a health share program.
-
HOW DO I PAY?
Membership fees may be paid via auto-draft from a checking account, charged to credit cards, or through Venmo/PayPal.
-
ARE HOUSE CALLS INCLUDED?
House calls will not be a regular service but may be considered as a result of certain circumstances. An additional fee may be applied for this service.
